When reality catches up...

In the past week of keeping up with the news on a daily basis, there is a theme that leaps to my attention. Mainstream media is catching up with ideas that I have been predicting based on my intuitive political awareness. Such as: what is the underlying purpose of the UN?, will Guantanamo Bay actually be closing?, did the US violate international law by going to war in Iraq?, is global warming really happening according to worst case scenario?, is China really going to colonize Tibet in a post-colonial world?, OK, enough questions of a seditious nature. Just a thought.

The Sound of Silence

Riding to work today I noticed an odd phenomenon. People don't speak anymore. It has become impolite to converse in public. Brought on no doubt by the advent of the digital communication age, we are loath to waste our breath when we can utilize invisible airwaves. Will this affect our physical capacity to engage in speech? Will we evolve away from verbal communication as a species?
